Established in 1986, the Blue Ridge Retriever Club, Inc. is an organization of dedicated retriever enthusiasts.
Feel free to e-mail club officers for further information!

We are excited that you are visiting our web site. Our club aims to provide programs and facilities for the training of retrievers, and to improve and develop individuals as retriever trainers.
The Blue Ridge Retriever Club conducts events in accordance with the
American Kennel Club. We conduct informal training sessions in the off-season, host educational seminars, and sponsor AKC Field Trials and Hunting Tests (we are a member of the Master National). We invite your interest and inquiry.

David Barrow's dog, Chester, is qualified for the '09 National Amateur! (Handsome yellow below and right.)

Dr. Jasck Gwaltney's dog, Ajax Wincor, is also qualified for the national Amateur!.

Steve Ferguson's dog, Brink's Barracuda Bingo (11.5 years old) won the Amateur at Swamp Dog and is going to the Nationals!

Scooter made it to the 10th series

Ajax and Chester made it to the 3rd

Handled by Alan Pleasant and owned by Marion Stroud-Swingle.
This trophy was donated by Jane Kelso in honor of her Chesapeake
 Dual CH/AFC Capital City Jake. This is the 22nd year the trophy has been awarded to the Open Winner.

The 6th annual Virginia Retriever Benefit Picnic will be Sunday, July 5 at the VRB grounds in Darlington Heights. Start time is 8:00 a.m. and entry cost is $25. There will be everything from puppy to Amateur stakes.
